The world is in chaos under the attack of an invading monster from outer space, Guilala. While world leaders gather together for the G8 Summit in Hokkaido, environmental issues soon turn to plans of destroying the unwelcome intruder. But instead of joining forces to defeat the monster, the summit becomes a battle of egos with each country competing against each other to see who is the most powerful. Who will prevail? Or is our planet doomed? |

Minoru Kawasaki
(Director of Executive Koala & Monster X Strikes Back)
Growing up in Tokyo during the 1960s, Minoru Kawasaki is the son of a blowfish restaurant owner. A director, screenwriter and producer, Kawasaki specialises in turning mangas into live-action movies.
At 18, he completed his first short film, Futo (1977) involving a giant tofu monster and more recently a giant calamari in The Calamari Wrestler (2004).
He has contributed to the popular Ultraman Tiga series, shot many TV dramas and variety shows and is considered to be the number one Japanese director of off-the-wall comedies.
