Guilty until proven innocent. From the director of Shall We Dance? this engaging courtroom drama is based on Japan’s flawed legal system centered on the common issue of sexual harassment on overcrowded subways.
Late for his first job interview, the young naive Teppei is accused of groping a young schoolgirl during a peak-hour train ride. The prosecutors are breathing down his neck for a confession, but Teppei adamantly maintains his innocence; it’s his word against hers. With a 99.9% guilty conviction rate, what do you do when all odds are against you?
